Product Description

Trioctyl phosphate (TOP) has a wide range of applications as a plasticizer.

Plastic industry
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC):
In PVC processing, Trioctyl phosphate can be used as a primary plasticizer or auxiliary plasticizer. 
Trioctyl phosphate can give PVC products good flexibility, cold resistance and water resistance, making them suitable for the manufacture of various films, sheets, pipes, insulation layers and sheaths of wires and cables. For example, in some PVC films that need to be used in low temperature environments, adding Trioctyl phosphate can effectively improve the low-temperature brittle crack resistance of the film and ensure the performance of the film under cold conditions.


Other plastics:
In plastics such as polystyrene (PS) and polycarbonate (PC), TOP can also be used as a plasticizer to improve the processing performance and flexibility of these plastics, reduce their melting temperature and viscosity, make the plastics easier to flow and form during the molding process, and improve production efficiency and product quality.


Rubber industry
Natural rubber and synthetic rubber:

Trioctyl phosphate can be used in a variety of rubber products such as natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, and butadiene rubber. It can improve the plasticity and softness of rubber, reduce the hardness and Mooney viscosity of rubber, improve the processing performance of rubber, and make the rubber smoother in the process of mixing, calendering, extrusion, etc. At the same time, TOP can also enhance the cold resistance and oil resistance of rubber, and improve the performance of rubber products under different environmental conditions, such as used in the manufacture of automobile tires, rubber seals, rubber hoses, etc. 


Special rubber:
For some special rubbers, such as fluororubber, silicone rubber, etc., TOP can also be used as a plasticizer to adjust its performance. Adding TOP to fluororubber can improve the low-temperature performance of fluororubber, improve its elasticity and flexibility in low-temperature environments, expand the use temperature range of fluororubber, and make it more widely used in high-end fields such as aerospace and automobiles.
